In Alberta, the population of wolf is still increasing in the Rocky Mountains, foothills and boreal forests, thanks to an healthy population of ungulates which provides for a healthy wolf population. To keep the wolf population under control, Sustainable Resource Development targets an annual removal of about 1,200 wolves, mainly through hunting and trapping.
This is why there is no bag limit on the quantity of wolf and Coyote one hunter can hunt under a wolf hunting license. This gives a great opportunity to harvest great trophies; the hunter can shot as many as he sees.
Our wolf hunts run from December to beginning of March and are essentially over bait. Each bait site is monitored by cellular trail cam. We only put you on active baits which of course is a guarantee of success.
Our wolf hunts are opened to Alberta resident, Canadians and non-Canadian residents. Hunts are conducted out of our cabins right in the middle of the hunting territory, 1hr30mn from the Edmonton international airport (YEG).
During these cold winter months, there nothing more exciting than to call a few coyote within shooting range. our hunts are fun as we travel form spot to spot where we know coyote are numerous and we call them in, providing several shooting opportunities every days.
